A sweet-savory fusion of chocolate chips and strawberry salsa. This vibrant no-bake recipe is perfect for brunch boards, dessert dips, and summer parties.
Ingredients
2 cups diced fresh strawberries
1 tbsp finely chopped red onion
1 tbsp chopped fresh mint or basil
1 tsp lime zest
Juice of ½ lime
Pinch of sea salt
¼ tsp chili flakes (optional)
½ cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
Instructions
1. Rinse and dice strawberries evenly.
2. Mix red onion, herbs, lime zest, juice, and salt in a bowl.
3. Let rest 5 minutes to soften and blend flavors.
4. Fold in diced strawberries gently.
5. Add chili flakes and mix again if desired.
6. Chill the salsa for 10–15 minutes.
7. Fold in chocolate chips just before serving.
Notes
Best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in the fridge for 24 hours.
Add chocolate chips only before serving to prevent melting.
Use ripe, fresh strawberries for best results.
